About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced .Net Software Support Engineer to join our Application Support Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investigative root cause analysis, incident management, and a solid understanding of both hardware and software systems. The candidate will work on key projects that require expertise in .Net, SQL.
Project is a film distribution company, jointly owned by Paramount and Universal. It distributes their films internationally across 63 countries and has released over 1,000 titles, including more than 100 Oscar winners.
Requirements:
— Proven experience in investigative root cause analysis and incident management
— Familiarity with application development tools (Visual Studio, ADO, SSMS, etc.)
— Strong knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering
— Experience working within Agile frameworks
— Proficiency in Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and similar methodologies
— Demonstrable contribution to quality control in solution and application developments
— Desirable exposure to and understanding of:
Responsibilities:
— Provide software development and support expertise within the Application Support Teams — Support applications in resolving issues
— Handle 3rd line incidents raised by the customer and liaise with end-users and customers to troubleshoot technical issues
— Implement best practices in support of external and internal project initiatives
— Maintain accurate records of support queries and formulate recommendations to prevent future repeated issues
— Ensure Alerting & Monitoring requirements from a production perspective are addressed in every project and system under change
— Maintain excellent customer relationships and ensure good communication
