We invite a project manager to join our team of 80+ professionals who have been working on creating a data ecosystem for financial instruments.

Our client is a US-based financial startup. Together, we are developing an innovative business platform for capital market professionals. The goal of the product is to document and distribute financial instruments on a more standardized basis. We use Blockchain to connect notarized data to digital tokens, which represent proof of ownership of assets. What’s in it for you:

Qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years’ commercial experience in Project Management in IT
  • Strong theoretical and practical background in project and release management, development of policies and procedures
  • Hands-on experience in planning, executing, successful delivery, requirements and risk management
  • Skills in preventing issues rather than fixing consequences
  • Ability to set up custom measurements that may be applicable to projects in order to fine-tune the processes and maintain stability
  • Ability to maintain a project schedule, minimize team distractions, and ensure that best quality practices are applied and followed on the project
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with the team: coaching and mentoring, team and conflict management, team motivation and team building
  • Self-accountability, experience in communicating with customers in software outsourcing and 3rd parties
  • Upper-intermediate English

Nice to have:

  • ITIL, SOC, ISO certifications
  • Experience in managing a remote team

Key responsibilities:

You will work side by side with other project managers. Your responsibilities will include 60% of involvement as a DevOps team Project Manager and 40% of involvement to Project Releases.

DevOps team Project Manager tasks:

  • Plan, procure and execute the project using Kanban
  • Monitor timely execution of project deliverables, help the team to understand the end-to-end flow
  • Manage change requests. Be aware of project priorities to help the team to focus on them and react accordingly
  • Perform quality control, time allocation, and requirements clarification that came from the business team
  • Constant and timely update stakeholders (internal and external) on changes, progress, delays
  • Analyse and assist in updating and improving the existing procedures on the project related to the DevOps team
  • Build strong and productive collaboration between Dev and DevOps teams
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between distributed DevOps teams at different locations resolving integration issues and removing impediments

Coordinator of Project Releases tasks:

  • Coordinate releases on the project that take place at the end of each 3 weeks Sprint: negotiate, plan and manage all related activities
  • Follow the existing project release procedure flow, update related documentation and suggest improvements to the procedure itself if any weak points have been determined
  • Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Work with release engineers to understand impact of branches and code merges
  • Provide visibility to all interested parties
