We are on the lookout for an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in PHP and MySQL to help us enhance our platform and support our growing community.

Role:

As a Backend Developer at GMAT Club, you will play a key role in the development and optimization of our web-based resources. Working closely with a team of dedicated professionals, you will contribute to the creation of scalable, high-quality web applications that benefit students and professionals worldwide.

Responsibilities:

— Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP and MySQL.

— Design and implement efficient database schemas; optimize SQL queries for performance.

— Work alongside front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of web components.

— Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform’s performance and usability.

— Adhere to best coding practices and contribute to the team’s knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

— More than 5 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer.

— Strong experience (current use) with PHP programming and MySQL database management.

— A good understanding of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) is desirable.

— Strong analysis, requirements solicitation, problem solving, and dynamic thinking skills.

— Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.

— Understanding of written English.

— You are a hard worker, proactive, responsible, details oriented, an initiator, and excellent learning abilities, and great communication, and interpersonal skills.

Will be a plus:

— Knowledge of phpbb and Yii framework.

— Understanding of Script and DB optimization for high loads
