Penetration Tester (Kyiv located)

Our client is a company that operates at the intersection of cybersecurity data science and engineering for large organisations and the public sector. Their main areas of expertise are data collection, data analysis, and blockchain

We’re looking for principally someone with demonstrable real world experience developing access into web applications / mobile applications. The only measure of good for this role is being able to ingest domains and develop accesses & data exfil methods by all means at their disposal. The correct individual will likely have some experience in supply chain work on hardened targets

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced penetration testing and red teaming engagements to identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors
• Simulate real-world attacks to test the effectiveness of security controls and incident response capabilities
• Develop and execute detailed attack plans, including social engineering, network exploitation, and web application attacks
• Collaborate with blue team members to provide actionable recommendations and assist in remediation efforts
• Perform threat hunting and security assessments to detect and mitigate security risks
• Create comprehensive reports documenting findings, attack techniques, and remediation strategies
• Stay updated with the latest cyber threats, attack techniques, and security trends
• We are flexible about schedule; however, some tasks require office-only work (due to security). Hybrid work is the best way to describe our work format
  

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience in red teaming, penetration testing, or offensive security roles (2+ years)
• Strong understanding of common attack vectors, including network, web, and application vulnerabilities
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, etc.)
• Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
