Python Developer (Django), Music Industry

DataArts’ client is from the music industry. They provide a music service that allows producers to sample original music and clear the samples for official use. The platform was founded to solve legal and ethical issues surrounding sampling and music clearances.


The project is in active development. DataArt is the only vendor so far. We are expanding their in-house team, so we are starting by adding 4 new back-end developers. The project methodology is Scrum. The team consists of 13 specialists and the client would like to increase the team size up to 20 people.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analysis of requirements
  • Estimation of tasks
  • Implementation of tasks
  • Code reviews

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Python programming experience
  • Knowledge of Python web frameworks Django (DRF), Flask
  • Experience with GCP
  • Experience in using object-relational mapping (ORM) technologies
  • Skills in building RESTful APIs in Python
  • Experience with relational DBMS (PostgreSQL)
  • Skills with version control tools (Git, SVN, etc.)
  • Experience with GCP Storage Buckets
  • Knowledge and experience working and integrating with CI (Jenkins)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Good spoken English


Nice to have

  • Experience with AWS stack: Lambda, Batch, S3, Fargate, Kinesis using boto3
  • Good knowledge of Postgres 11+ (AWS RDS/AWS Aurora), experience in DB schema design
