About the client:
US-based startup company with Ukrainian roots, building audio/visual teleportation platform based on abilities of 360-degree video and VR technologies. Future services of the company will be focused on enabling people world-wide to share their experience using rich media format.
At the moment, the company contributes technology and expertise to several non-profit projects (cultural diplomacy, mental health, dual-purpose applications) to enforce Ukraine defense capabilities and position in the global arena. Management and primary office are located in Kyiv, Ukraine.

About role:
They are looking for a professional Senior/Team Lead Automation QA Engineer to test VR user interfaces, application functionality and help us to maintain the level of quality and reliability. You will work in a team with embedded, backend and VR engineers to deliver an innovative platform for video streaming. Joining our team you will take part in various projects, hunt bugs, identify issues, report it and implement software testing processes. You will collaborate with the product team and engineers and will have ownership of quality through manual and automated testing.

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with VR environment.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
• Familiarity with current test design techniques.
• Solid understanding of software failures.
• Proactive attitude towards identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.

Nice to have:

• Video quality measurement metrics and tools.
• Experience with AI automation.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (the tools in the VR area will be a plus).

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback.
• Define and enforce QA standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
• Prioritize and plan testing activities.
• Play the role of test engineer: design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests.
• As well as provide leadership and guidance to the QA team.
• Lead the planning and execution of testing activities for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and guide the team in developing and maintaining automated test suites.
• Monitor and analyze test automation results, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Maintain the test documentation.
• Communicate with end users or assistance support.
• Ability to iterate quickly and produce business value.
