Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 3+ years of commercial experience to help build and scale a modern data platform. In this role, you will work on developing and maintaining data pipelines, creating data models, and ensuring data quality and reliability.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development.
• Experience with Java development
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.
• Understanding of modern data architectures (data lakes, data warehouses).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hadoop) is a plus.
• Experience integrating AI/analytics solutions into data workflows is a plus.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and version control.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment.
• Availability for 1–2 hours of overlap with U.S. Central Time business hours (9:00 AM — 5:00 PM CT).
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business and technical requirements into reliable data solutions.
• Implement data quality checks and monitor pipeline performance.
• Troubleshoot data issues and improve reliability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and follow data engineering best practices.
• Work with cloud services and data processing tools to optimize performance and costs
