— Defining order ingestion logic: when a customer placed an order, triggering the proper jobs to begin running + adding the order to the correct queues;
— Handling printing events: product has cloud-enabled thermal printers in all of the restaurants. When certain types of orders are created or when a user requests, we initiate printing of order receipts;
— Weekly data aggregation: we use cloudwatch events to trigger weekly aggregations of restaurant summary stats (ie, how much did they make, how much time does each order take, etc).
We’re looking for a super experienced engineer to join our team.
The project is www.forwardkitchens.com.
Product is created to analyze existing restaurants to see which are the closest to that type of food and see if they can make it. In certain cases, set them up with supplies and proper ingredients to produce if our models show that they can execute.
You’ll be working on key back-end infrastructure for the product’s internal tooling (payments platform, data handling, data management, etc) and for one of Android and web applications.
There’re co-workers from around the world: Spain, Australia, London, and Belarus.
The engineering team includes ML experts, Serverless engineers, Go experts, React and Kotlin developers, and a top-class project architect.
You will be working on a new product and will be primarily working with the project architect and CTO.
