Engineering Manager

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong technical foundation and a passion for innovation. If you have the drive to lead dynamic 3 teams (3 Team Leads directly, while indirectly guiding a team of 25 specialists) and make a tangible impact, this role is for you.

This is important to us:

  • 5+ years of strong technical experience with deep expertise in our technology stack: PHP, Symfony, PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, Redis, RoadRunner, Docker, AWS, and K8S;
  • 2+ years of proven leadership experience in engineering management, or similar roles, (experience in product companies in the FinTech industry will be an advantage);
  • Hands-on experience in launching products from scratch, scaling them effectively, and ensuring their long-term support and stability;
  • Solid understanding of architectural principles;
  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices;
  • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and other modern development methodologies;
  • Extensive experience in managing software development processes;
  • Proven track record of delivering software products effectively;
  • Demonstrated ability to use monitoring tools and manage incidents efficiently;
  • Experience in building or managing Performance Management systems;
  • Experience in personnel management, team building and development;
  • Strong skills in resource planning and team role allocation, ensuring that each team member is in the right role to maximize productivity and impact;
  • Experience in managing budgets at the engineering or IT department level.

Your future challenges:

  • Develop and maintain the technical roadmap, managing risks from new technologies for sustainable growth and business goals;
  • Influence the quality of the product delivery process, ensuring the timely delivery of value;
  • Ensure product stability and reliability by implementing and supporting SRE practices;
  • Develop an optimal organizational structure for development units and plan necessary resources for effective operations;
  • Build and develop technical teams, including hiring, onboarding, and conducting regular performance evaluations;
  • Elevate team performance management and increase operational efficiency;
  • Effectively allocate resources among engineering teams to maximize outcomes and productivity;
  • Lead budgeting processes within your scope;
  • Implement cutting-edge technologies, best practices, and agile methods to drive innovation, improve quality, and accelerate development;
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with executives, clients, and internal teams, ensuring aligned expectations and quick response to issues;
  • Communicate technical concepts and project updates with clarity and confidence, effectively managing expectations and swiftly addressing any challenges that arise;
  • Manage technical debt, plan for its reduction, and ensure long-term sustainability.
