THE PERSON
Essential skills:
— Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
— Linux/Unix administration
— Software deployment experience
— Networking fundamentals
— Versioning (Git, SVN, etc)
— Scripting/programming skill (Bash, Python, Ruby, etc)
— Monitoring tools (Nagios, Cacti, etc)
— Excellent written communication (English)

DevOps skills (at least one of following):
— Configuration management (Chef, Puppet, etc.)
— Cloud/virtualization experience (AWS, KVM/XEN, Vagrant, etc)
— Continuous integration/delivery (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc)

Bonus skills:
— Relational DB experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc)
— NoSQL DB knowledge (Redis, Memcached, HBase, MongoDB, etc)
