The product is an SDK that allows the use of advanced features of build-in cameras on Android devices and provides cutting-edge post-processing functionality on captured images. SDK development requires skills and experience in multiple Android libraries as well as UI components. Existing code of the product is written using Java, switch to Kotlin is ongoing activity.

Requirements:

• Android development using Java 1.5-2 years
• Experience using Kotlin 1+ year
• Understanding of Android application lifecycle
• Android UI, drawing, animations
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Experience with C++ is a great plus
• Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop a new features in modern Android SDK for image processing/post-processing and advanced techniques of camera handling
• Use best practices to minimize impacts to user experience, such as battery drain, ANRs, unresponsive UI, etc.
• Ability to read through other developers code, understand flow and function, and make improvements as needed
• Conduct scientific research and experiments in order to find optimal solution, ability to describe and summarize findings
