Main role purpose
Responsible for the successful operation of the internal billing system, its support, development, resilience, compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the development of the internal billing system as a Product manager. Get familiar with best market practices, compliance requirements, and business needs. Create initial system specifications, and defend the project to key stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor key metrics (approval rates, chargeback rates...) in different breakdowns (partner/payment method/currency/locale/...), raise an alert in case of deviations, provide your proposals on how to improve it.
- Create billing rules, routes and practices which allow maximization of key billing metrics. Continuously monitor and improve it.
- Continuously explore and implement best market practices in metrics improvements.
- Create and implement quality billing practices and procedures.
- Detect errors in billing processes and make appropriate corrections.
- Manage relationships with payment gateways, merchant of records and other partners.
- Monitor new payment system requirements and compliance, and make sure company billing system complies.
- Resolve basic billing issues.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand company strategic goals and align billing roadmap with it.
- Own billing system backlog, roadmap, gantt chart.
Requirements
- Proven experience of successfully implementing and launching products without supervision.
- Proven experience in creating specifications, tasks descriptions, including clear acceptance criteria;
- Proven experience in negotiation with Contractors and/or Clients.
- Proven experience in successful project delivery (meeting scope, budget, time and quality).
- Proven experience in ability to work with analytics.
- Experience in the Finance or Billing domain will be a plus.
- Experience in acting as the main point of contact for stakeholders (management expectation, conflict/escalation management, risk mitigation, problem-solving).
- English B2+.
