• Experience in designing and building production java systems that manage large amounts of information
• Java 8, functional programming
• Good understanding of Database concepts — data fetch strategies and joins
• Experience implementing server side data integration connectors that interact with diverse APIs and java libraries, retrieve large amounts of data, and join these data with existing application records

• Experience working with Hadoop ecosystem and products like Impala, Hive
• No-SQL systems (HBase, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, SOLR)
• SQL Database performance analysis, troubleshooting and tuning
• RxJava experience
• Linux process management, monitoring and command line experience
• Apache Spark experience
• Docker experience

• Build query engine to extract data efficiently from various sources — relational, nosql, bigdata
• Analyze/plan resource utilization under different load scenarios (high cardinality, joins, multi-user environment)
• Build horizontally scalable data processing algorithms (based on Spark, Calcite, but not limited to)
• Focus on quality and scalable solutions
• Build, maintain and extend Zoomdata grammar for calculations on the datasets
• Contribute into microservice based architecture
• Implement server-side algorithms for processing, aggregating, and analyzing the data
