Ciklum is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize ETL workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into the data warehouse
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache Airflow for scheduling and orchestration
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean, structured datasets for modeling and reporting
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring high availability and reliability
• Implement best practices for data quality, security, and governance
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the evolution of the data platform

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehouse development
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
• Solid understanding of MySQL (query optimization, indexing, schema design)
• Familiarity with data science concepts and ability to support analytical workflows
• Experience with ETL tools, data modeling, and data warehouse design
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
