Ciklum is looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior JavaScript Developer, you will work as part of a cross-functional team, developing modern API-driven web applications with React. The engineering department requires someone who can help create an exceptional developer experience and take developer platform to the next level, can move fast, react and adapt, who is up to date with the latest technology and can gets things done.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex web applications following established approaches and industry best practices
• Drive improvements to existing engineering and quality standards, and support the team in adopting them
• Participate in the hiring process, including conducting technical interviews
• Provide coaching and guidance to middle and junior engineers as needed by the project

Requirements:

• Experience designing solutions for complex features and producing clear technical documentation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Ability to contribute to decision-making around new features and architectural choices
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Deep, hands-on experience with React, Next.js, Redux, and Redux-Sagas
• Experience refactoring existing applications to support new requirements
• Practical knowledge of testing approaches and tools
• Ability to define, maintain, and enforce code quality standards and metrics

Desirable:

• Strong communication skills, with an open-minded and self-driven approach and the ability to ramp up quickly
• Experience supporting or mentoring other developers, including helping a team member reintegrate into the workflow
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines (GitHub)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the DevOps team on setting up custom CI/CD pipelines
