Ciklum is looking for a Senior Back End Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior Back End Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. The client is disrupting the traditional firewall and changing how organizations protect their datacenters and clouds. Our team has some of the most talented experts in the field. We solve a few of the most complex technological problems out there and build the market’s most comprehensive Data Centers cybersecurity solution.

We are looking for a highly motivated senior software engineer who will join our R&D and be part of a strong team of talented developers. Collection Platform is a unique and strong development team responsible for developing complex application infrastructure, ensuring our product’s efficient and seamless growth, delivering a direct and meaningful impact to our customers and R&D teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead new infrastructure initiatives and problem solving from requirements to delivery in main components in our system, all-across the product areas and technologies
• Write reliable, efficient, secure, and scalable code
• Code in Python as the main language, and sometimes in a variety of other languages (Golang)
• Collaborate with different engineering and other teams, to identify areas where infrastructure initiatives could contribute to our development efficiency and scalability
• Communicate with our customers and leave a favorable impact
• Address complex software challenges at the forefront of today's technology, optimize and put a lot of emphasis on performance and security
• Be an integral part of our thriving culture and take an active part in the constant improvement process of our team and organization

Requirements:

• 5+ Years of software development experience
• Previous experience in E2E design and implementation of features as part of large scale backend and infrastructure projects
• Experience in Backend Development using Python, Go, or equivalent languages
• Experience in working with Linux based systems
• Deep understanding of Networking and Network Security.
• Experience in high scale production environments
• Experience working with one or more of the following technologies: Ansible, HAProxy, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Docker containers / other virtualization infrastructure
• Experience developing in security development — significant advantage.

Desirable:

• BSc in computer science or related degree — big advantage
• Experience with C — big advantage
• Experience developing in Kubernetes or microservices architectures
• Experience working with Cloud environments.
