Ciklum is looking for a Senior BI Developer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior BI Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

You will join a highly motivated team and will be working on a modern solution for our existing client. We are looking for technology experts who want to make an impact on new business by applying best practices and taking ownership.

You would play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing advanced data models, data marts, and analytical solutions. We are specifically looking for someone with a solid track record in these areas, ideally within the domains of finance, treasury, or risk at a financial institution. Your experience in these sectors would greatly enhance our team's capabilities.

Our development approach is highly dynamic, leveraging a git-based CI/CD framework that ensures agility and efficiency in our projects. The tools at our disposal include dbt for ETL processes, Airflow for orchestration, Snowflake for processing and analytics, Metaflow for machine learning and executing Python models, and Metabase for visualization. These tools are crucial to our mission of refining and expanding workflows for regulatory reporting, developing data models for liquidity monitoring/stress testing, market risk monitoring, and laying the groundwork for a comprehensive Risk/Finance Data Warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of mission critical analytics solutions, using data visualization tools
• Helping in designing use cases and performance dashboards in scope of Data Strategy
• Responsible for implementation and development of data visualizations
• Responsible for designing data engineering structures necessary to support BI initiatives
• Responsible for data integration management between core business applications and data lakes, etc
• Owns one or more key components of the infrastructure and works to continually improve it, identifying gaps and improving the platform’s quality, robustness, maintainability, and speed
• Cross-trains other team members on technologies being developed, while also continuously learning new technologies from other team members
• Interacts with engineering teams and ensures that solutions meet customer requirements

Requirements:

• Banking domain background
• 5+ years of experience within Business Intelligence or Data Science field with a focus on Data Visualization and Data Analytics
• 1+ years’ experience with Data Visualization tool (such as PoweBI, Tableau, Metabase, etc)
• 1+ years of experience in cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Good knowledge of data analysis in enterprises. Experience in BI consultancy for enterprise clients.
• 3+ years of experience coding in SQL
• Experience with Data Build Tool (dbt) and a solid understanding of concepts such as ETL, data pipelines, and optimization techniques for databases.
• Experience participating in an Agile software development team, e.g. SCRUM
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with supporting data scientists and complex statistical use cases highly desirable

Desirable:

• Experience in data science and machine learning
• Experience in CI/CD configuration
• Experience with Snowflake, Metaflow, Metabase and Airflow

Personal skills:

• Upper-intermediate or Advanced English
• Good analytical skills
• Good team player, motivated to develop and solve complex tasks
