Ciklum is looking for a Senior JavaScript Developer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior JavaScript Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team working for our Client.

Our Client is building the leading enterprise AI SaaS company for digital transformation across the most critical and resilient growth industries, including retail, consumer packaged goods, financial crime prevention, manufacturing, media, and IT service management. Since its founding in 2017, today they serve 1500+ Enterprise customers globally and have grown to 2,500 talented leaders, data scientists, and other professionals across over 20 countries.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex web applications using the established approaches and best practices
• Improve existing engineering and quality standards in a team and help other team members adopt them
• Create CI/CD pipeline by template and/or assist DevOps team in creating more complex pipelines
• Participate in the hiring process and technical interview activities
• Coach/supervise middle/junior engineers by demand of the project

Requirements:

Software Design:

• Experience in designing solutions for complex features and creating documentation
• Uses the established standards and algorithms for implementing the application

Software Development:

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and SQL
• Understanding of GraphQL and REST API
• Experience with continuous integration tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
• Experience with source code management tools such as Github, Git/BitBucket
• Shell scripting skills such as Bash
• Understanding of Software Development lifecycle and best practices (DDD, TDD, BDD)
• Experience in refactoring existing applications according to new requirements

Quality Assurance:

• Hands-on experience with testing approaches and tools
• Ability to adjust and maintain the code quality rules and metrics

Software Deployment:

• Experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines (TravisCi, GitLabCI, etc)
• Collaborates with the DevOps team to set up the custom CI/CD pipeline

Desirable:

• Python
• Understanding of cloud computing
• Containerization with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Azure AKS
• Databases — PostgresSQL, CockroachDB
• Search engines: ElasticSearch, OpenSearch
• Tools — VSCode, IntelliJ, GitHub Actions, GitHub Codespaces
• Test Driven Development — Jest, Sourcelab
• Agile development methodologies — Scrum, Kanban
• Data processing technologies — Kafka, Dask,
• Working with AWS/Azure/Cloud related tools and technologies

Personal skills:

• Communication is a key. You speak and write in English fluently or at least at upper-intermediate level.
