Your Challenge

As an AI Engineer — Demand & Sales Forecasting, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing forecasting and predictive models that help fashion brands manage sales, revenue and demand better.

You will work closely with Product, Data, Development and Business stakeholders, translating complex data into scalable AI solutions and actionable insights. You will report to the COO and collaborate intensively with the Product Owner on planning and prioritizing AI-driven features.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI and machine learning models for:
• Sales forecasting
• Demand prediction
• Scenario and trend analysis
• Analyze large datasets from the fashion retail and wholesale value chain
• Continuously improve and optimize existing forecasting algorithms
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate models into our SaaS platform
• Monitor model performance and ensure ongoing accuracy and reliability
• Identify new opportunities where AI can add commercial value
• Work according to internal quality and information security standards
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI, data science and forecasting

Your Profile

• Experience as an AI Engineer, Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or experience
• Deep intuitive understanding of gradient-based optimization, including how gradients flow through custom architectures beyond standard frameworks
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistics and forecasting techniques
• Proficiency in Python, ideally with libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, Jupyter Notebooks or PyTorch
• Experience working with databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL)
• Affinity with commercial data, sales, retail or fashion is a strong plus
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly explain complex models
• Proactive mindset with excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
