Centro holding is a group of companies developing in-house products for the online entertainment industry. Founded in 2007, the company has expanded into an international team of over 300 people, with offices in the USA, Cyprus, Canada, Ukraine, Georgia and Spain.

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Backend Developer to join our team and help us build and maintain high-performance, robust, and scalable backend systems.

About the project:
This is an online entertainment marketplace. It is being developed by 6 engineering teams and consists of 50+ services and components.

What you will do:
— Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems, services, and APIs that support our platform’s functionality, particularly the studio admin panel.
— Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and designers, to define and implement innovative solutions that meet business requirements.
— Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
— Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
— Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
— Optimize existing systems and services for performance, stability, and maintainability.
— Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in backend development.
— Work independently, managing your own tasks and priorities, while effectively communicating progress and any blockers to the team.

Skills and qualifications:
— 5 years of proven experience as a backend developer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
— Expertise in the backend programming language PHP (versions from 7.0).
— Experience with modern web frameworks, such as Laravel and others.
— Proficient in database design and development, with experience in MySQL or PostgreSQL, Redis or Memcached databases.
— Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
— Experience with Docker, CI/CD.
— Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
— Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
— English — strong intermediate or upper-intermediate.

Nice-to-have:
RabbitMq, AWS and Elasticsearch.
