ABOUT THE CLIENT:

As a leading IT and software service provider for the transportation industry and the logistic sectors within trade and industry, our customer, located in Hamburg, has been providing forward-looking solutions for freight forwarding and customs clearance for more than 35 years.

PROJECT DETAILS:

Company operates the Port Community System (PCS) for the Port of Hamburg and the Cargo Community System for Frankfurt and Hamburg Airports, which are accessible to any company via open and flexible EDI interfaces and web applications.

Currently, our customer is scaling up the development team to develop their products faster and more effectively.

YOUR TEAM:

You will work with a team of 100+ German software engineers. The Ukrainian team consists of 3 Software Developers and a Delivery Manager.
All teams work in an Agile model.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enhance our agile software development team
• Support of the complete product life cycle from requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing through to operation
• Conception and design of solutions and architectures through to entire system landscapes
• Analysis, estimation, implementation and testing of user stories in interdisciplinary teams

SKILLS:

• Completed degree in (business) informatics or an equivalent qualification
• Excellent Java skills (Java EE and/or Spring)
• 5 years of experience in the field of Java and participation in large projects
• Database design experience, SQL/JDBC
• Upper-intermediate English

Nice to have:

• Experience in core areas such as Microservices
• Working knowledge of Continuous Delivery (with Jenkins) Docker and Kubernetes or automated testing
• Working knowledge of REACT, JavaScript, XML/HTML, CSS
