The client provides the only active analytic catalog for data analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and business users, enabling them to interact with their data and analytical code in a whole new way.

PROJECT DETAILS:

Our software deeply integrates with and leverages some of the hottest components of the big data and analytics ecosystem, such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, and Microsoft Synapse. We’re an upstart player in the emerging “Modern Data Stack” space. Our tech stack includes Java, TypeScript, Kubernetes ElasticSearch, Redis, and frameworks like Electron, React, Cypress, among others. We have a mature and evolving system for DevOps using GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Nexus, Maven, and Junit. These integrate with our cloud infrastructure for build and test at AWS, Azure, and GCP.

YOUR TEAM:

The team in our Kharkiv office does 100% of the development. The team consists of 28 Java, JavaScript, and QA Engineers. All developers are highly qualified — 70% of the team are Seniors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your primary focus will be on developing the front-end components of our products. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different infrastructure layers. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality are essential.

• Communicating with all involved parties (product, deployment, engineering teams)
• Developing new user-facing features using React
• Integrating Frontend with Backend APIs
• Writing secure, reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Identifying the most critical pieces and caring about test coverage for those
• Writing unit tests
• Participate in stand-ups, code reviews, be a team player

SKILLS:

• At least 3 years of experience writing production code (as a JavaScript / TypeScript Frontend Developer or FullStack Developer)
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies/practices and apply them in practical ways
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React
• Proficiency in unit tests writing
• Ability to share and accept technical feedback
• Familiarity with RESTful / JSON RPC APIs
• Decent level of spoken/written English

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with Electron
• Experience in building sophisticated SPA
