Senior Full Stack (React/Node.js) Engineer for Haystack

Position & client

Haystack is a US-based company that provides a developer tool designed to integrate seamlessly with Jira. It generates detailed reports for project managers and helps monitor team performance and project health.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the stability of the existing system (60% bug fixing, 40% new features and tooling).
• Work on backend development and integrate new features into the full-stack architecture.
• Collaborate with the team on maintaining coding standards and quality.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvements and work on creating a more efficient system.
• Contribute to the overall product development and occasional brainstorming of new features.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong experience with Node.js and React (Typescript).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Google Cloud and Docker is optional but a plus.
• Ability to work in a full-stack capacity (including some infrastructure-related tasks).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English speaking level.
