We are looking for an experienced Technical support Engineer to join our Engineering team!
About the project:
Our client is a Canadian software company that builds a digital shopping marketplace for shoppers to get local savings and deals.
This project is built around the micro-services architecture, with services communicating via Kafka. Rails-based app is providing REST API for both React front-end.
What your role would cover:
Communication with clients online on a daily basis via slack and emails.
Process operational requests from the client’s internal team.
Help the development team to handle requests from production systems.
Follow the instructions or create workarounds to keep systems up and running.
Create and update documentation based on customer interactions.
Replicate clients cases and deliver it to the team for further bug fixing.
Suggest and implement improvements to workflows and identify new ways to best support the production systems.
2+ years of Technical/Production Support Experience
Solid English communication capabilities verbal and written
Self organized: we would like you to work independently and require minimum involvement from the Project manager.
Technical skills: basic understanding of code, ability to debug, search in logs etc.
Be able to understand clients’ concerns and to replicate them and deliver to the team for further testing and bug fixing
Ability to learn independently and to manage multiple tasks
Would be preferable knowledge with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
Basis of CI/CD approach and pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI)
Please pay attention to the working schedule: possible start of the workday from 2 pm to 4 pm.
