We are looking for a Mid-level Automation Test Engineer with a strong engineering mindset who enjoys understanding complex systems and building reliable automated testing solutions.
The role combines approximately 65% technical work and 35% functional testing. The technical part focuses on building automated end-to-end testing, documenting critical flows, and integrating tests into the CI/CD pipeline. The functional part focuses on validating edge cases, identifying gaps in existing validations, and looking at the product from the user’s perspective.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated end-to-end tests.
- Develop and maintain automated test scenarios.
- Automate UI flows and ensure critical user journeys work correctly.
- Analyze core application flows and define effective testing strategies.
- Review existing test coverage and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Document application flows using flowcharts or sequence diagrams where relevant.
- Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and unexpected user behavior.
- Proactively identify validation gaps and quality risks not covered by existing tests.
- Document findings, test scenarios, and recurring issues.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience in test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end test automation.
- Experience with Python or .NET/C# (.NET is preferred).
- Experience with TypeScript and/or modern web development.
- Experience using AI-powered tools to support day-to-day engineering and testing tasks.
- Good understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Technical education or a strong technical background.
- Ability to analyze complex application flows and translate them into effective automated test scenarios.
- Ability to combine strong technical expertise with a user-focused testing approach.
