Senior QA Engineer (вакансія неактивна)

We are looking for a Manual QA to join the BETER team and help us provide the industry with top-quality sports analytics products.

If you enjoy solving technical challenges of product implementation, want to maintain and improve the engineering culture in a team of QA professionals, and want to combine manual and automated testing skills, this position is definitely for you :)

As a Manual QA Engineer at BETER, you will:

— Test new functionality (mostly manual testing, but automated testing will also be a great option).
— Perform regression and smoke testing.
— Report bugs, write test reports.
— Review and analyze system specifications.
— Work with cross-functional teams to ensure high product quality.
— Participate in team meetings: stand-ups, grooming, task evaluation, planning, retro, etc.

Our ideal Manual QA Engineer will have:

— Experience in testing web applications, including SPA and backend services (REST API).
— Ability to analyze business requirements, find potential conflicts and report them.
— Experience in writing checklists, test cases, test plans, and test reports.
— High level of knowledge of modern testing approaches as well as SDLC.
— Familiarity with HTTP protocol, web working principles, cookies and local storage, CSS/HTML.
— Experience with Chrome Dev Tools, and Transparent Proxies for testing.
— Experience with bug tracking systems and familiarity with standard processes in IT teams.
— Understanding of principles of the client-service architecture.

Nice to have:

— Experience in writing Software Requirements Specifications.
— Experience with Postman.
— Experience in participating in or independently conducting load testing.
— Experience in security testing.
— Basic knowledge of SQL.
— Ability to read Kibana logs and analyze results.
— Experience in API/UI testing automation.

— 8-hour workday. We’d like you to be in touch from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, when to start your workday — is up to you.
— Please note: 10 days/month our manual QA engineer can be reached outside of working hours in case of unexpected technical issues. No worries, this would rarely happen. The time spent on such cases will be paid at a ratio of 1.5 to the standard rate per hour.
— The work format is 50:50 (in-office & remote).
— 20 days of vacation, 100% sick leave coverage, 5 days force majeure leave per year, and maternity leave for moms and dads.

We cooperate with Space Deer Anti-School of English, they teach English to our employees (in office and online).

Our recruitment process:

— Intro to BETER (20 minutes): if your experience and skills match our needs, we will be glad to schedule a call and tell you more about us. The recruiter will send you a Google Meet invite.
— Interview with the team (1.5 / 2 hours): to discuss the position in detail.
— Final interview (1 hour): meeting with HR and a future manager to discuss what is important to you in your work and ask questions. Online or office — it’s up to you.
— Job Offer: We will send you an offer and look forward to having you on board :)

First days at BETER:

On your first day, you will complete onboarding training to learn everything about BETER.

By the end of the first week, together with your manager, you will discuss and set goals for the first months of work. He/she will introduce you to the project and hold regular 1v1 meetings to support you during and after your onboarding period.
