We are looking for a skilled Back-end Developer to help our Swiss client take the live-streaming world by storm!
Our client is a young Swiss scale-up company dedicated to providing an interactive, AR-enabled, live-streaming solution for individuals, corporations, brands, and ad agencies. They aim to become the #1 platform in the streaming world and are now expanding their team to reach this goal.
We are looking for a talented, dedicated Backend Engineer with a strong passion for building high-performing and scalable backend systems and a deep understanding of Node.js, GraphQL, and MongoDB.
If you have experience building and deploying production-ready backend systems and a track record of delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions, we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll do in this role
- You will be working in a cross-functional DevSecOps team together with other developers, QA/Test Engineers, as well as with UX/UI designers, product owners, and scrum masters
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performing and scalable backend systems
- Write secure, clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Collaborate with other teams to design, develop, and launch new features
- Implement and adhere to coding standards and best practices
- Debug and troubleshoot issues found
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in backend development
- Mentor and lead junior backend engineers
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards are met
- Ensure the backend systems are fully optimized for performance and security
We’re looking for
- At least 4 years of applied experience as a Backend Engineer, ideally in a similar environment
- Strong experience with Node.js, Nest.js, GraphQL, and MongoDB
- Firm grasp of TypeScript and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
- Excellent understanding of RESTful APIs and related technologies
- Experience with modern backend build pipelines and tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English — at least at the Upper-Intermediate level
- A strong team spirit: we share, challenge, and exchange
- An open mindset: diversity — in every field — is welcome and expected, as is alignment: disagree, but commit
- Knowledge of agile software development methodologies — particularly Scrum — and the corresponding ceremonies
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
How to knock our socks off
- Understanding frontend technologies — such as React and React Native — is a plus
- Written and verbal communication skills in German are beneficial
- You love borsch!
