Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Analysing and formalising requests from business and stakeholders, facilitating sessions to clarify problems, goals, and context;
• Identifying and breaking down problems; applying information gathering and structuring techniques (interviews, documentation review, observation, data analysis);
• Preparing and detailing business and functional requirements;
• Creating User Stories and Acceptance Criteria for tasks in Jira/YouTrack;
• Supporting the development team in requirement analysis, clarification, and preparation, as well as priority management and task planning;
• Preparing and maintaining up-to-date documentation in Confluence;
• Working with context by understanding dependencies between tasks, systems, and teams;
• Contributing to roadmap preparation and ensuring alignment of product development plans;
• Validating the correct implementation of requirements in collaboration with QA;
• Participating in daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives;
• Using basic prototyping tools (e.g., Marvel, Figma, Miro) to clarify user flows and logic.

Core Skills:

• Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems diplomatically and build constructive team relationships;
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall principles;
• Ability to formulate clear, testable requirements and Acceptance Criteria;
• Solid understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS) and client-server interaction principles;
• Basic experience working with design systems and understanding how to use them to refine requirements;
• Proficiency with Jira, YouTrack, Confluence, or similar tools;
• Systemic thinking and the ability to see relationships between requirements and product goals;
• Attention to detail and strong analytical, structured thinking.

Additional Skills:

• Experience in fintech or trading systems will be a strong advantage (but not mandatory);
• 3+ years of experience in IT projects (as a Business Analyst, Product Owner Assistant, or QA);
• Understanding of web platform and API principles;
• Ability to create simple diagrams (BPMN, Flowcharts, User Flows);
• Experience collaborating with QA teams.

Language Requirements:

• Intermediate English level for working with technical documentation and team communication.
