Senior Backend Developer (Symfony)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining the backend of applications using PHP Symfony;
• Optimizing the performance of existing solutions;
• Designing and implementing REST APIs for frontend and external service integrations;
• Integrating with databases (MySQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB), including query and schema optimization;
• Participating in application architecture design and technical decision-making.
• Writing unit tests and automating backend testing;
• Working with version control systems (Git) and participating in code review processes;
• Collaborating with DevOps engineers to integrate CI/CD processes.

Core Skills:

• Strong proficiency in PHP with 3+ years of experience working with the Symfony framework;
• Deep understanding and practical experience with MySQL (writing complex queries, optimizing performance);
• Experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB);
• Knowledge of REST API design and development best practices;
• Experience with caching systems (e.g., Redis, Memcached);
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and coding standards (PSR);
• Experience working with Docker and containerized applications;
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus;
• Understanding of message queue systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Disque);
• Proficiency in writing unit tests (e.g., using PHPUnit).

Additional Skills:

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions);
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP);
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Grafana).

Language Requirements:

• Intermediate English proficiency for reading technical documentation and communicating with external service support.
