We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our data platform team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure in the cloud. This is a hands-on role focused on advanced data engineering using AWS and Python.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Strong experience with AWS ecosystem (e.g., S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena)
• Proficient in Scala (must-have) and Python
• Hands-on experience with Spark (especially PySpark or Scala Spark)
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning
• Experience with workflow/orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or similar
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD tools
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational and NoSQL databases

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines using AWS cloud services
• Work with large-scale distributed systems and real-time streaming data
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and developers to enable data-driven decision-making
• Optimize performance and reliability of ETL/ELT processes
• Manage and improve data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, security, and availability
• Develop reusable code libraries and frameworks in Scala, Python.
• Implement CI/CD for data workflows and infrastructure-as-code

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of streaming platforms such as Kafka or AWS Kinesis.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows and model deployment.
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
