We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our dynamic team in the sustainability and food industry domain. This role involves designing impactful solutions for projects rich in charts, tables, and data visualization. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the end-to-end design process, from initial research to final delivery, ensuring seamless integration of user-centric design principles. As a pivotal member of the team, you will also establish and lead the design stream within the company, mentoring junior colleagues and fostering a culture of creativity and innovation. Exceptional soft skills are critical, as this role requires direct engagement with customers to uncover their needs and expectations.
As a Senior Designer, you will
- Lead the end-to-end design process, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and final design execution.
- Translate complex data sets into intuitive and visually compelling charts, tables, and interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to ensure design aligns with project goals.
- Conduct customer interviews to gather insights, validate design solutions, and refine user experiences.
- Build and manage the company’s design stream, setting best practices, workflows, and tools for the design team.
- Serve as a mentor to junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to elevate the overall quality of design outputs.
- Advocate for a user-centered approach, ensuring all design solutions meet both user and business needs.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in UX/UI design, with a portfolio showcasing work on data-intensive projects (charts, tables, dashboards)
- Skills: Proficient in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with a strong grasp of data visualization tools
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with proven experience conducting customer interviews
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience mentoring designers and leading design initiatives
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the sustainability or food industry is a plus
- Mindset: Self-starter with a proactive attitude, eager to innovate and drive the design vision forward
