We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team and help develop an educational platform for a US University. Our client is a company that specializes in helping students prepare for exams, and they are looking to digitalize their experience.

As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in building a useful and convenient platform that will simplify the exam preparation process.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
— 5+ years of commercial experience with Python;
— Deep expertise in Core Python 3;
— Strong experience in Django (experience with Flask, and FastAPI could be a plus);
— Good experience in customization of Django Admin, and Django Templates;
— Deep understanding and experience with using and building APIs (REST, Sockets);
— Deep knowledge of debugging and profiling;
— Experience in MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, ApacheSOLR, Elasticsearch;
— Experience in Mako templates;
— Good knowledge of computer science: design patterns, data structures, OOP concepts, data types, exception handling, etc.;
— Good understanding of the decoupled architecture and microservice approach;
— Experience with Docker, Docker-Compose;
— Experience with code review, refactoring, and mentoring;
— Experience with estimations of the functionality and technical planning on the “per feature” level;
— Experience with BigData and/or HighLoad could be a plus;
— Experience with the AWS ecosystem: EC2, EKS, and Lambda could be a plus;
— English: strong Intermediate or higher.
Also:
— Having experience in Open Edx, will not only be a huge plus but a significant advantage for this role. This expertise will enable you to contribute to the project’s success and make a significant impact on the team’s results.

— Backend development and implementation of required features;
— Collaborating with other developers, designers, and project managers to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to a high standard;
— Communicating with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates on project progress, and troubleshoot issues as they arise;
