About the Role

Reporting to our CEO, you will take responsibility for the well-being of the Altamira team. You will be leading the HR department and driving people management strategies. This includes coaching, mentoring, and supporting staff members to identify their individual strengths and development needs. You will also ensure that the human resources programs and initiatives are implemented effectively and efficiently.

You will have the opportunity to build HR organization, and processes and implement key practices to provide long-term, exciting development opportunities for our talented engineers. We pride ourselves on our desire to provide opportunities for our engineers to embrace continual learning and move between customer scenarios and tech stacks.

This is the ideal role for someone with at least 5 years experience of working in HR and 3 years of experience in a managerial role who is seeking to develop their career in broader business management and be a considerable contributor to the direction of the company.

We are a small business and we expect our leaders to take part in the day-to-day running of the business and importantly developing an ongoing improvement to the structure and processes that will be needed to underpin our growth.

Specific Areas of Responsibility

Reporting to our CEO, you will take responsibility for executing our people-related strategies and achieving a high eNPS score. You will lead your team to attain the highest quality outcomes and:

  • Lead and manage HR organization
  • Oversee the ongoing development of our people-related policies and practices
  • Contribute to company people-related strategy
  • Deploy appropriate standards / tools / baselines
  • Align with other internal organizations to support end-to-end employee journey
  • Install the culture of open and high-quality communication
  • Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent
  • Regularly communicate to a team about key achievements, progress, organizational news

Your Experience

We are seeking candidates who have all or some of the following essential capabilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of HR practices.
  • Vast working knowledge of all HR departmental areas, including reward and recognition, benefits, learning, and development, as well as HR systems and budgets.
  • Proven experience in managing departments and teams.
  • The ability to develop and nurture relationships across departments.
  • The confidence to provide sound professional advice.
  • The ability to lead the development of effective employment policies.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations accepted by professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • The ability to analyze and review HR data to identify trends.
  • Experience in determining, measuring, and analyzing eNPS.
  • The ability to use office software packages competently.


  • Slovak, Russian, or Ukrainian (mother tongue, or full professional proficiency required)
  • English (full professional proficiency required)
  • Any other language skill is highly appreciated.
