Job Summary

The QA Analyst will ensure quality of delivery by writing and executing test plans and cases covering client specific deployments of standard and custom configuration.

Projects will range in size and span both new implementations and subsequent consulting efforts across the entire suite of Allvue offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a sole QA contributor across client implementation projects to perform testing and provide quality assurance for their projects
  • Design, write, maintain & execute functional and performance tests for multiple software applications
  • Log and monitor defects and features in our internal tracking system
  • Create and maintain testing environments and infrastructure
  • Assist with software installations, upgrades, and training for clients
  • Create and maintain both product and process documentation
  • Gather, analyze, document, and test requirements for unique business scenarios that differ across businesses and clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members (Developers, Implementation Specialists, Account Managers, etc.) to enhance our product and services
  • Influence the growth of our product using feedback from clients and solutions you have implemented while working on client and internal test environments
  • Propose departmental initiatives to help improve our processes and team goals

Requirements

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Experience in hands-on QA / Testing work relating to software (ideally to include desktop, application, API)
  • A breadth of testing experience (smoke, regression, UAT etc)
  • Detail-oriented & strong work ethic
  • Enthusiasm for finance, testing, and technology
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal — English Language), organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Technical experience preferred, particularly with T-SQL, XML, XPath and/or XSLT
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can successfully manage multiple competing priorities
  • Experience in a software quality assurance analyst, business analyst, system support, or related role
  • Experience with automated, load and/or stress testing a plus
  • Experience or familiarity with buy-side investments a plus

Education/Certifications

A CS degree (or similar) from a 4-year university preferred
