Job summary

The HR Specialist administers the activities relating to the company payroll, benefits, and HR Information System processing, including developing, implementing, and monitoring. This individual will be responsible for performing internal audit and control procedures to ensure that all wages and taxes are accurate. This individual will be the company’s subject matter expert with all payroll, benefits, and HRIS administration.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience administering payroll, HRIS, and benefits processes required.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Working knowledge of labor laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll, including reviewing and importing hours from time and attendance system, entering tax and direct deposit information, administering regulatory requirements and other adjustments to pay as necessary.
• Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with the Head of Human Resources to improve payroll and HRIS processes.
• Evaluate and implement payroll/HRIS systems upgrades and changes.
• Maintain complete electronic employee personnel files, records and other documentation for employees.
• Administer the time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all employees. Revise company policies as necessary.
• Assist with the coordination of the new employee onboarding process and present the benefits presentations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
• Participate in HR projects as needed and required.
