Job Description:

We are seeking a fast-thinking, business-minded software engineer to lead the ongoing (PoC stage) development of our optical sensor appliances and build the overall solution architecture. You should help us grow fast but in the organized way without using the whip.

This position will require the engineer to work with a team of software engineers to guide and direct them in building software to analyze metrics delivered from optical monitor sensors, OTDR equipment, and vendor DWDM systems. The candidate must have knowledge in System Architecture, in all stages of software development and will be working alongside other developers, researchers, and stakeholders to ensure all development deliverables meet the requirements.

You will be expected to

• Lead the team of 5+ engineers
• Be the mentor and advisor to the team members
• Build software solutions using agile practices and engage with the business stakeholders in sprint reviews and participate in daily meetings.
• Have strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, information retrieval and security
• Proactively identify and propose solutions that create scalable implementations and achieve results
• Work autonomously demonstrating initiative and common sense
• Design solutions that are modular, scalable and portable
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Write, debug, and deploy code to production in a timely manner
• Write understandable, testable, and secure code
• Communicate with peers to address technical roadblocks
• Focus on strong teamwork within teams and remote team members according to business alignment
• Have an inquiring mind with the ability to research, question and think outside the box


• 5+ years of experience as back-end developer
• 2+ years’ experience as team lead
• 2+ years’ experience of Go development
• Proven track record from designing and developing technical solutions including agile development methods
• Solid experience (Full stack) from all parts of software development including information security
• Experience with developing new digital solutions from initial phase to production
• Broad and deep knowledge about Architecture Solutions and Best Practice Designs for SaaS/PaaS solutions
• High English level (spoken, and written)

Would be a plus:

• DevOps experience
• Understanding of DWDM and CWDM networks
