Senior Business Intelligence Engineer (Data Engineering & Analytics)

We are looking for a Senior BI Engineer with broad experience across enterprise data warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms to join a long-term enterprise BI modernization program. The environment spans both legacy Microsoft and Cognos technologies as well as modern Azure and Databricks-based data engineering platforms.
The role focuses on legacy BI modernization, cube and report migration, ongoing support, and optimization of existing Microsoft- and Cognos-based analytics environments. Initially, the position is centered on analysis, investigation, troubleshooting, and enhancement of established data flows, reporting solutions, and data warehouse processes, with opportunities to contribute to new ETL/ELT development (ADF+Databricks) and broader analytics modernization initiatives. You will work closely with an established delivery team supporting large-scale reporting and data platform initiatives.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex data problems, tracing data lineage across multiple systems, understanding business logic, and improving the performance, reliability, and maintainability of enterprise BI solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise Business Intelligence solutions.
• Strong SQL development skills and experience working with relational databases and enterprise data warehouses.
• Experience with ETL/ELT development using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or comparable enterprise data integration platforms.
• Experience with enterprise reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI, SSRS, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to analyze existing enterprise BI solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and implement enhancements.
• Experience working across multiple layers of the BI stack, including data integration, databases, semantic models, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience using AI-assisted agentic tools to improve productivity while validating all generated output.
• Professional English communication skills, both written and spoken

Will be a Plus

• Experience with IBM DataStage for ETL/ELT development and Cognos or ThoughtSpot for enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Experience with semantic models, OLAP technologies, SSAS Tabular models, or comparable analytical platforms.

Responsibilities
