Senior System Engineer (вакансія неактивна)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior System Engineer to maintain and develop our internal production infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ensuring that our infrastructure remains resilient and efficient and possess the skills and vision necessary to automate, optimize, and reduce costs associated with our infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field; Master’s preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Proxmox virtualization environments, including expertise in live migration, high-availability configurations, and clustering setups
• At least 5 years of experience in network management, specifically with Mikrotik routers and switches, including a strong understanding of DHCP, DNS, VPN, VLAN, routing, switching, NAT, and bonding
• Solid background in both Windows and Linux system administration
• Proficiency in managing Active Directory and scripting with Bash and PowerShell
• Experience with Linstor or similar storage solutions and thorough understanding of backup and restoration strategies for complex environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop the internal production infrastructure
• Implement strategies to ensure infrastructure resiliency and cost efficiency
• Automate and optimize infrastructure processes
• Design and maintain a robust, secure, and scalable Proxmox virtualization environment
• Implement and manage Mikrotik network configurations ensuring efficient routing, switching, and network services
• Develop and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems.
• Automate repetitive system administration tasks using Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, or Puppet
• Participate in the design and execution of backup and restoration procedures
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead resolution efforts
• Maintain documentation for system architectures, configurations, procedures, and service records
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT operations by staying informed of new technologies and best practices.
