VoIP Engineer / Asterisk Expert

About the project

Communication is a first-class citizen that enables business success! To allow a company to communicate, we developed a modern cloud-based telephony system for the Austrian market. The integration of traditional telephony technologies and modern requirements such as scalability are the key factors for market success. The system should take well-acknowledged industry tools such as Asterisk or Kamailio and bring them to the modern world of clouds and virtualization, customizable with a modern UI. At the end of the project’s journey, we will migrate an already established platform with several thousands of customers to the new platform and enrich it with additional services such as MS Teams or Zoom integration.

You will be part of an agile team, consisting of around ten people from Austria and Germany. We have members ranging from SIP experts to C# Gurus, with good English skills, and high motivation to integrate new members.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain CTI Integration for the Asterisk telephony system.
• Help developers to switch from a Cisco-based solution to Asterisk.
• Help develop a TAPI-like integration for Asterisk.

Required skills:

• 3+ years of extensive experience with VoIP technologies.
• High knowledge of Asterisk and its CTI-related interfaces (ARI, AMI).
• Basic development skills.
• Motivation to take on tasks in the DevOps area.
• Conscientious and independent working style.
• Good English skills and motivation to integrate into a heterogeneous agile team.

Good to have:
