We are growing and looking for an experienced hands-on Senior C++ Backend Engineer, with a great passion for data & performance at scale, with a strong background of data processing systems and performance optimizations.

About the project:

Our client is on a quest of building the world’s fastest search database! It allows running billion-scale search and ranking algorithms 10x faster than existing solutions, being a game changer in applications such as recommendation engines, fraud prevention, e-commerce, marketplaces and more.

Using our services, data scientists and search architects can now perform deeper and more accurate searches over large multi-dimensional datasets and at a fraction of the current compute costs.

Skills and qualification:

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Upper-Intermediate+ (B2+) English level
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in C++, Java, or C#
• BSc in computer science or equivalent experience
• Solid programming foundations: data-structures, multi-threading, OOP and design patterns
• Proven record of leading, developing and scaling SaaS products that are highly available, distributed, and large scale
• Experience in low level performance optimizations, including profiling and memory analysis
• Expertise with cloud platforms: AWS, Kubernetes
• Autodidactic abilities to ramp up quickly on new technologies

Advantage:

• Hands-on experience in Rust
• Experience with ElasticSearch DSL
• Deep understanding in databases and big data systems
• Experience in Stream Processing using Flink, Storm, Spark or equivalent
• Contribution to relevant Open-Source community
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies
• Familiar with software security best practices and fundamentals
