We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team.

About project:

Rural Senses is changing the way international development and humanitarian response projects are being planned, executed and evaluated. With AI-powered data analysis and local networks of data collectors, Rural Senses collects and analyses data at scale and depth to provide meaningful insights into vulnerable communities’ needs, challenges and willingness to pay. Our insights help nonprofits and businesses to build projects and products that address what people really care about.

Requirements:
— Connection to Rural Senses’ mission and a passion to make a positive impact
— At least 6 years of experience in software development
— Experience building and maintaining widely-used, user-friendly software from both the front and back end

Experienced with all (or most) of the following technologies:
— Flask — python 3
— React + Redux
— MongoDB
— Mongoengine + pymongo
— AWS

Requirements — Advantage:

— Experience in NLP and/or data science
— Previous entrepreneurial experience
— Multicultural and international experience — strong advantage


Responsibilities:

— Work on all components of our software, from data integration and server-side algorithmic work to front end implementation.
— Develop software solutions by studying software design specifications; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development life cycle.
— Create new features and functionality based on user stories and behavior.
— Prepare and execute long-term product roadmaps from a strategic point of view.
