We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to work in our Kyiv office.

The project is under active development; therefore, you and your team of professionals will need to continuously create and update the requirements and software specifications of the project as well as participate in release activities related to the documentation.

At 3Shape, software development is done by the self-organizing agile teams, using Scrum as our primary development methodology. Even if you do not feel confident enough in your skills, your teammates are always ready to assist you in your tasks.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Create and maintain requirements and software specifications for the project
• Create and maintain validation and verification tests for the requirement and software specifications
• Review autotest scenarios are written in Gherkin
• Add the reviewed autotest scenarios to the project documentation
• Work with the Documentation and Project Managers to ensure the technical documentation is up to date, adheres to the regulatory requirements, and is ready for the release test
• Assist the Documentation Manager during the release test period with the review of the validation and verification test results
• Ad-hoc tasks related to other project documentation, such as user manual, release notes, and localization coordination

To succeed in your role, you are required to possess the following competencies and experience:

• High level of skills in written and spoken English (upper-intermediate or higher)

• Previous experience (2+ years) in a technical writer role in software development

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to independently research, analyze and structure complex information
• Ability to set up and run complex software

• Good communication skills to interact with the development team

Preferred competencies and experience:

• Experience in writing project documentation and complying with international medical device regulations is a significant plus
• Experience with the following is a big plus: SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Jira, Confluence, Jama, GitHub, Gherkin language, and Scrum
• Optionally, have a testing background (a great plus)
• Optionally, have any technical background (nice to have)
